Ron Minor's birth name is Wandile Khoza. He chose the name "Ron Minor" because his Father's name is Ronnie and having been told of how he is so much like his Father, he decided to represent who he is, through his father. Ron Minor has a number of accomplishments such as, being a member of the University of Pretoria Youth choir (UPYC) from the end of 2007-2010. As a member of the UPYC in those three and a quarter years he has performed alongside the Drakensberg Boys’ choir and Heinz Winkler and performed in Namibia and Europe. He has also been a member of the Wits Choir (University of Witwatersrand Choir) in 2011, which was short lived due to personal circumstances. From 2012 – 2013 as a student at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), He studied Jazz vocals. This led to him entering South African Idols Season 11 in 2015 and made it to the top 48 also known as group stages. Other types of performances Ron Minor has done include weddings, festive ceremonies and private and/or family and corporate functions.
